Champigny and Côteaux du Layon
Day 1
·
Arrive Angers train station. Personal greeting and
escort to the Château de Noirieux.
· Settle in at the hotel. Relax and unwind in the grounds.
· Pre-dinner tasting of Loire wines with your own wine
expert and the hotel’s sommelier.
· Dinner in the hotel’s superb dining room, featuring fresh
local produce and great Loire wines.
Day 2
·
After breakfast, we take our private transport to our first
tasting in the small town of Vallet - the Muscadet of the
winery Grande Garde.
· Just a few miles on, our second Muscadet experience is at
Clos des Yonnières in the village of Le Landreau.
· We lunch in the town of Champtoçeaux, perched on the Loire,
at the Michelin-starred Les Jardins de la Forge.
· Our afternoon tasting is in the Savennières region at Château
de Chamboureau - some of the most refined and typical examples of the chenin
grape in the world.
· Time to relax at the hotel.
· Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3
·
We breakfast at the hotel, then take our transport for a
tasting of Saumur-Champigny at Domaine de Saint-Just.
· We drive on to Château de la Roulerie to taste their
superb Côteaux du Layon.
· We lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant Licorne in
nearby Fontevraud-l’Abbaye.
· Our afternoon tasting is at Domaine Dubois in the village
of Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg.
· Time to relax at our hotel.
· Farewell grand dinner at the hotel, as we move on tomorrow.

Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé
Day 4
·
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Tours and
our new luxury accomodation at the Château de Noizay.
· Pre-dinner wine-tasting with your wine expert and the château’s
resident sommelier.
· Dinner at the château - fine local cuisine and top
quality wines.
Day 5
·
After breakfast at our hotel, we travel to Domaine des
Ouches to taste some of their great Bourgueils.
· We then cross to the south bank of the Loire to visit Château
de Saint-Louand and sample their exquisite Chinon.
· We return to our château to relax over lunch.
· In the afternoon we visit the white wine country of Vouvray
for a tasting of delectable dessert wines at Domaine des Aubuisières.
· Our final tasting is at Domaine de la Galinière to
sample their range of award-winning sparkling wines.
· Time to relax before dinner at our hotel.
Day 6
·
After breakfast we travel to the region of Menetou-Salon
to taste the sublime whites at Clos des Blanchais.
· We lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant Abbaye St-Ambroix
in the historic city of Bourges.
· Our first afternoon tasting is at the Domaine de Nozay -
a Sancerre worthy of the finest palate.
· Our final tasting is of one of the best examples of Pouilly-Fumé,
at Domaine Masson Blondelet.
· Awaiting us at our château is a grand farewell banquet
with a range of superb Loire wines.
Day 7
·
After breakfast, we escort you to Tours train station
or airport for your onward journey.
Because of the great stretch of the Loire valley,
we have split the Loire tour between west and east.
