Bordeaux Wines

Bordeaux is the world’s most famous wine region and France’s largest fine wine producing area. Its blend-based approach — Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on the Left and Right Banks respectively, with supporting roles from Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec — has been imitated globally but never quite duplicated.

The region’s classification systems, from the 1855 Médoc classification to the Saint-Émilion rankings, have shaped how the world values wine. But beyond the headline estates, Bordeaux produces an enormous range of styles and price points — from everyday Bordeaux Supérieur to the great classified growths of Pauillac, Margaux, and Pessac-Léognan.

We think Bordeaux’s greatest strength is its consistency and depth. With over 6,000 producers and 60 distinct appellations, there’s always something new to discover, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned collector.
